- Court of Appeals decision reversing the decision of the Employment Security Department to deny unemployment benefits to individuals who accepted severance pay and “volunteered” for layoff Nielsen v. v. Employment Security Dept., 93.Wash.App. 31, 966 P.2d 399)(1998)
- Successfully argued to King County Superior Court that our client’s former employer was not entitled to restraining order that would have required our client to give up a $100,000.00/year job. Client was served paperwork and contacted attorney at 5:00 p.m. the day before the hearing was set; we worked through the night and the next day to prepare opposition papers, including obtaining a statement from an expert witness in the industry.
