ABOUT MATTHEW BEAN
Since 1994, I have been representing people in the State of Washington in cases where they have been:
- discriminated against at work
- not paid wages
- or have been injured due to the negligence of others
My desire to advocate for people goes back even further, having worked at the Washington State Attorney General’s Office, Consumer and Business Fair Practices Division in college, and the Disabilities Law Project and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission during law school. As a philosophy major in college, I studied the foundations for social justice. As an attorney, I strive to obtain justice, one case at a time.
After graduating from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1993, I practiced for more than ten years in an employment law firm in downtown Seattle. I started my own law practice in the Northgate area of Seattle in 2004.
I have tried and argued cases all over the State of Washington, including King County Superior Court; Pierce County Superior Court; Snohomish County Superior Court; Whatcom County Superior Court, Benton County Superior Court; Divisions I, II, and III of the Washington State Court of Appeals; United State District Court, Western District of Washington, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Member of the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association and the Washington Employment Lawyers Association
